Iggy Twists And Shouts On WEEI
Once again, I did not believe that Captain Flow Killer could twist and contort himself any more than he has before, but sure enough, he managed to do just that when he blamed George Bush for the Fort Hood shooting because Hasan was promoted to captain when he was president. As I suspected, and was confirmed by a caller later in the show, Hasan's 2003 promotion to captain and subsequent 2009 promotion to major, were automatic; products of U.S. Army policy on doctors and their education levels.
The truth of the matter is that regardless of his rank, enemy of the state Nidal Malik Hasan should never have been in a position to perpetrate his crime. Unfortunately, the military is not immune from the incompetence and political correctness that infect everything that the government touches (just wait until Obamacare makes life or death decisions based on diversity). Hasan should have been drummed out of the service multiple times, for multiple reasons. For example, when he stated that he held Shari'a law above the Constitution he swore to defend. Or perhaps when he stated that his infidel fellow service members should have their heads cut off and boiling oil poured down their throats? Still not enough? How about when he contacted a radical Imam in the employ of Al Quaeda? Nope.
Logic, reality and expediency are all irrelvant. They are merely sacrifices on the altar of political correctness in homage to the almighty god of the left known as diversity. The left has been trying to subvert the morale and combat effectiveness of the military since the early days of the Clintonistas. After all, faced with an impotent military, America would have no choice but to turn to the bastion of freedom known as the United Nations for protection and resolution of foreign disputes. (Eventually that would be expanded to domestic disputes as well, but that's another column.) Hasan's terrorist attack is simply a symptomatic result of left-wing policies and values.
I have been saying since 9/11, that the Muslim terrorists can hurt us, and can kill us, but that they can not destroy us. That can only be accomplished by the fifth column in America known as Liberals. We have seen the enemy, and they are the iggyots.
