Those Who Fail To Learn From History . . .

Put yourself into a vacuum, and imagine its mid-1999. The tech boom is booming, Bill Clinton is taking full advantage of the Oval Orifice, and the Red Sox demolition of of the Evil Empire is completely inconceivable. Now imagine that you are told about a regime in control of a country that among other things:
  • Is led by a charismatic and controversial leader who achieved power not on merit, but through a cult of personality, with millions of adoring followers turning out at mass rallies to glimpse and praise their leader, without ever being able to explain his policies.
  • Utilizes government funded and managed schools to indoctrinate children by teaching them among other things, to sing the praises of the dear leader.
  • A member of the regime boasts about having controlled and manipulated the media during its rise to power, and states that one of her favorite leaders had killed 70,000,000 people and deflowered (aka Polanskied) thousands of under aged girls.
  • Attacks components of the media that do not act as a support mechanism for the regime, and the propaganda minister for the regime singles out one news outlet in particular, because of its opinion programming.
  • The regime is in the process of an unprecedented government takeover of a private economy, beginning with the financial markets, health care system and manufacturing sector.
Your first thought might be that someone is describing Hitler's Germany, or Stalin's Russia, or Mao's China. Fast forward in your vacuum to 2008, and you might think its Kim Jong-il's North Korea, or Hugo Chavez's Venezuela. Hell, if you're an iggyot, you'd probably shriek that it's George W. Bush's America.

Unfortunately, the reality is that what I have described is Barack Hussein Obama's America. Put your personal politics aside and think about what is happening. It truly does mirror what happened/is happening in the five, tyrannical socialist regimes I mentioned. Regardless of your personal politics, it should scare the living daylights out of you.

If you iggyots out there still don't understand, and still think Obama is just a political leader, then think about this. What if school children at a public elementary school in New Jersey were filmed being taught to sing a song of praise to George W. Bush? What if Karl Rove was filmed boasting about how his staff controlled the media during the 2000 or 2004 election? What if Ari Fleischer spent his days going on Fox News and telling people that CNN was not a real news organization and should be ignored? What if George W. Bush was pushing legislation to allow him to take control of the Internet in case of an "emergency"?

You would be frothing at the mouth, and screaming for his impeachment - and you would be right to be upset. I would be alarmed at such developments as well, as would any freedom-loving American. If you do not see the danger in what is happening, then you have not learned the lessons of history.

If you see what is happening and do not care because you are a "true believer" in the cause, then feel free to brush up on what eventually happened to the likes of Trotsky, Zinoviev, Bukharin, Kamenev, Rykov, Tomsky, Kirov, Ernst Roehm, Karl Ernst, Peter von Heydebreck and Gregor Strasser and millions of nameless others. Loyal followers of socialist tyrants like Stalin, Hitler and Mao, their fate was to be murdered by the very leaders they supported and helped bring to power.

Iggy Polanski Bends Over Backwards In Boston

Iggy was really pathetic this morning, apparently (as Dino quipped) playing the part of Roman Polanski. During headlines, Gerry made a crack about David Letterman's wife, and Iggy got his panties in a bunch, piously claiming that any comments about Letterman's wife should be off-limits. Gerry immediately threw a flag on the play and assessed a fifteen yard personal fraud penalty, pointing out that Iggy and most other liberals had revelled in Letterman's joke about Sarah Palin's fourteen year old daughter Willow getting “knocked-up” by Alex Rodriguez.

He was spot on. At the time, Iggy defended Letterman, but we all know that had Ann Coulter cracked a joke about an Obama (if one was) fourteen year old daughter the way Letterman did about Palin's daughter, he would be following his liberal masters' calls to liquidate Ann and every single one of her blood relatives. However, because Letterman is a good liberal, and he only made a crude joke about the under aged daughter of a conservative, it's all OK.

Adding insult to injury, Iggy, of all people, actually had the nerve to call John and Gerry lemmings, as he morphed into Ian Rodham Meropol and accused them of falling for the "Glenn Beck, Fox News, right-wing comspirarcy" about Letterman. He must have really bent over backwards and shoved his head into the best-looking part of his body to come up with that one. I'm just surprised that he left out the involvement of the Illuminati, the Priory of Scion and Haliburton in his so obviously cogent conspiracy theory.
