Iggy Is Full Of It On WEEI

On Thursday, Iggy proclaimed how much he hates the city's mounted police force because of all of the horseshit they leave behind that needs to be avoided and cleaned up. Well, I guess now he knows how Chach and the rest of us feel every time he opens his mouth.

On Friday, the boys read the story from the Boston Globe (AKA Dead Newspaper Walking) about the massive Massachusetts job increase in May - 4,900. Iggy gushed giddily about that jobs story like Chris Matthews and Brian Williams getting ready for a threesome - I mean interview with Obama, but we really need to rain on his parade. Don't get me wrong, I hope that we have turned the corner. However, after watching the liberal media get Clinton elected in 1992 by suppressing the fact that the 1990-91 recession ended 11 months before the election, and then try the same thing with Kerry in 2004 - anyone remember the "worst economy since Hoover" that was adding 100,000+ jobs a month - I felt it would only be fair and balanced to reciprocate the same tactic as Sir Rants-a-Lot gears up to credit the messiah with the greatest economic recovery since the post WWII boom.

So, lets look at the 4,900 new jobs. First of all, its a drop in the well. especially considering the hundreds of thousands of jobs that have been shed in the last year. Now lets look at the pertinent facts in the story: "The state reported that Bay State employers added 4,900 new jobs to payrolls last month" and "The state saw growth in the health, education, professional, scientific and leisure industries". Odd that specific numbers were not in the story. How many of those jobs are phony jobs; either government jobs or jobs created by the spendulus bill, not truly created out of need? What about the breakdown? Was it 200 jobs in the first four listed sectors and 4,700 jobs in the "leisure industries" - you know, all of those low-paying, temporary service jobs created during the summer so that the little people can serve the liberal elite on the Cape and islands? Sorry, Iggy sounds like all smoke and mirrors to me. Obama's economy is the worst economy since Carter.

Ceterum , exsisto quietis Iggy!

P.S. I've started a new blog http://www.rifarmer.blogspot.com/ for the horticultually inclined.
